“The game was dominated by weird tactics, stranger moves and lack of casualties. I didn't utilize my skinks to their full potential, but instead chose a more traditional bashy-team cage approach, which ultimately made the game a bit weird. PhlashPhire employed a normally good counter-tactic against the cage - stalling - but as his team was the faster -and at the time, best deployed, it seemed odd that he missed a few chances at the skink ball-carrier.
Near the end of the second half, it seemed like a certain win for me - at least from my point of view - as the cage had advanced 2/3 of the way to a touchdown. Despite the fact that the ref was being held by my fans, PhlashPhire opted to foul one the skinks, which got his player expelled from the game, opening a small hole in his defense. Although that I could probably have dodged out earlier, I was out of rerolls and I would rather play it safe. So, in my seventh turn it must have been, I decided to make a break for the endzone, and I got 4 skinks through. All I had to do was make a single "go for it" with my ball-carrying skink, but he fell down, dropped the ball, broke his neck and died in everlasting shame. Unfortunately, the apothecary fixed him up - the skink most certainly did NOT deserve the care, but since he was worth money and the apothecary hadn't earned his pay yet, I decided to be merciful. ”
“First half was spend delaying the lizard cage. This didn't succed, and the scored in the end.
Second half saw a quick skaven touchdown, due to too weak lizard flanks. This was retrified by a pair of sauruses and the cage/stall game started once more.
This time it ended differently. The ref proved very troublesome and expelled the thrower when he tried to even the score against a fallen skink. This opened a gap which the skinks streamed through. The ball carrier got a little rushed and broke his neck, leaving the ball free. One blitz and a handoff later the gutter runner was off. The lizard skinks was all in the wrong spot and had no chance to stop him. And so the skaven won.”
