“This is the second time the Shrieking Bloodstorm has played the Steelers; and boy.. was that a mistake. The first time, the wood elves wrecked us; this time, they beat us (although I certainly tried to play for a win, but expecting a wood elf team to screw up and lose the ball on offense is a bit of a stretch).. but much worse was the loss of Kekksi. He was killed by Jarome Bettis, the tackling/blodging blitzer, and on a blitz move where clearly damage was not the intent. John Dole did in fact apologize for the loss, although the apothecary simply disregarded the damage, declaring that any Skink who was going to be compared to a Gutter Runner was better off dead anyway.
The team tried to console itself with fouling Jarome several times, including a very cheap turn 16 5 man foul.. but Zekssi was screaming bloody murder for his brothers death. Hopefully the Saurus won't kill the Apothecary before the next game. The gold influx continues it's fantastic streak of 20k average per game, which makes it very very difficult to avoid journeyman; I don't believe the team has played a game without journeyman since their debut match. One day maybe. Krronk remembered how to perform his daring Break Tackles again, proving the Apothecary knows at least something. Shindahl also managed to become the #1 Active Top Passing Lizardman this game, trying valiantly to carry on despite Kekksi's death.”
