“On the surface, this game appears to be a dicing for magistern. Every time he hit a lizardman, POW! down it went. KO's, injuries, Shindahl KILLED on a foul in the first turn - although the Skaven Apothecary was there with his trusty lightning generator to zap the Skink Super Star back to life. Note that Shrieking Bloodstorm still managed to outblock No Guts nor Glory; but Nuffle was completely on the Necromantic side.

However, the REAL point to this game came in turn 15. Down 1-3, the lizardman have 3 players on the field: one Saurus is stunned. One Saurus is knocked over. And one Skink, Skexis, is standing. Next to him is a werewolf and someone with Tackle. Behind that, a Ghoul who had just dropped the ball. Beyond that, another 7 Necromantic players.

So, what does Skexis the newbie Skink do? Exactly what Zekssi always taught him - TRY TO WIN!

Skexis dodges, dodges, dodges a third time away from the Tackler! Dodge again, and there's the ball! Team Re-Roll allows a pick up! Dodge away from the ghoul towards the other ghoul; Blitz! POW! POW! down goes the second Ghoul! Dodge the Zombie who is supporting the ghoul! Go For It and Dodge #8 past the Flesh Golem! Go For It and Dodge #9 to the far side of the Flesh Golem!

SKEXIS IS ON THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE! SKEXIS SCREAMS TO THE HEAVENS! NOTHING SHALL STOP HIM!

Start No Guts nor Glory turn 8. (Of the second half). Jason Bateman blitzes Skexis with the support of 2 zombies and the Strength 5 Flesh Mountain. The blitzed ghoul picks up the ball, and successfully passes to Michael J. Fox in order to skill up. Michael J. Fox scores the 4th touchdown.


After-game report: Skexis is found crying in the locker room. He simply wasn't good enough to win the game! What went wrong? Why couldn't he hold onto the ball? The team obviously couldn't give him MVP - he hadn't done anything worthwhile - a puny (strength 4 Tackle Blodging Super Star) werewolf had taken the ball away from (with 3 assists) - what kind of (practically) rookie Skink allows that to happen?
