Nosferatu's Nightmares won the coin toss but chose to kick. The ball was kicked near midfield and Obliteration quickly ran to cover it. Spite picked up the ball while two other Beastmen stood in front of him for cover. NN struck quickly hypnotizing several Chaos players including both Beastmen guarding Spite. With Spite defenseless, Baron Arkturin rushed in and sacked him in the backfield. He then picked up the ball and advanced a couple spaces forward. Kullz was there to stuff Arkturin before the Vampire could build more speed. The ball was fumbled and Obliteration's own Baron, Baron Stoke, picked up the ball.

He ran a slant pattern up the field with five of his teammates leading the break. NN gave chase but they were blocked one by one by the Chaos forces. Soon, Baron Stoke was all by himself and he ran it all the way in for a touchdown just before the break.

NN received in the second half and their super Vampire, Baron Schitzor, was back to play Quarterback. Three Vampires formed up in a three wide receiver set and ran up the left side of the field. One made the mistake of attacking Joran and in turn, was knocked out by Kullz. Venom went to cover Baron Arkturin but the Beastman was shrugged off. Schitzor's pass sailed over a hypnotized Chaos Warrior and perfectly into the hands of Arkturin. The Vampire would run in the goal early in the second half.

Obliteration received with plenty of time to put together a touchdown drive of their own. Once again the ball was kicked near midfield but this time they doubled their coverage putting a couple layers of blockers in between their ball carrier and the NN defense. The Chaos team came out in the second half much more aggressive and their heavy hitters began to heat up. Several Thralls were sent off the field being attacked from both their Vampire Masters and the enemy forces. Spite ran the ball up the field while being caged. A brave Thrall tried to slow the advance of the Chaos engine but it was apparent that it was just a matter of time before he went down in a bloody mess.

Meanwhile, Joran seriously injured Baron Gebrecht and that would be the nail in the coffin. Only three NN players were left, a stunned Thrall and two Vampires. Coach Sigmar waved his players away in a prudent move. He knew it was a lost cause and it was better to preserve the team's key players to fight another day. With the situation under full control, Spite handed the ball off to Karnage and the Chaos Warrior walked into the end zone for the win.

#4 Baron Gebrecht – Smashed Hand (MNG)
#5 Simesk – Dead (RIP)
#12 Fellbin – Broken Neck (-AG)
Excellent match report Emeyin! Don't see these often in the box.

Early Vampire pressure secured a turnover but the Vampires were too thirsty and the Chaos tacklers were too effective for the Nightmares to keep the ball. Once Obliteration recovered it was pretty much over despite the early 2nd half score by the Vampire team.

Emeyin played a flawless game (170+ CR duh) and his players did what they were supposed to.

Once again the Nightmares find themselves without any reliable means to remove enemy players other than Baron Vurdimal surfing them, which is generally a one trick pony per game. This team needs some MB and some DP to at least give them the potential to hurt somebody!
