“A fun match where we almost plucked a win from a bad situation but ended with egg on my face.
We received and I immediately rolled dskulls. The reroll helped get us through the turn though. Draknil got near the end zone but in turn 4 was taken down. Fortunately he had just enough quality to jump up, pluck the ball up and score.Both mummies were forced to miss part of the drive so it was a tricky one. In the return a beastman was left exposed and a simple zombie managed to get at him to take him down. A reckless Chaos pass went wrong and the Chaos Warrior couldn't recover the ball. However they caused some damage last turn so we lined up with 8 in the second half. The Chaos received and in turn 6 actually left their ball carrier next to my prone mummy! A foul didn't work out so Mumm-ra gotup and smashed him down. But the Chaos regained the ball and scored the equalizer. They had also been blocking very effectively so it was 7 v 11 as we received. Draknil then did magnificently. He rode 3 blitzes and then dodged out twice with a great victory in sight. The first gfi was a success and I breathed a sigh of relief as a rr was left. But then snakes in the end zone!!! The game was only a draw and to add a big pain at the end our important Wight Kneecapper Jones was killed in their turn 8!
Will again take us a while to get a reasonable Wight together. We also had a turn 8 pass attempt from Svein, he picked up but unsurprisingly couldn't pull it off.”
