“Our second loss... For a play-by-play, there's the replay. What I give you here is our personal Doctrine report.
What went wrong?
* We lost Former Underworld King XVI and The Jester early on, which hurt us badly - it was a lot harder to advance and outmanouvre the Sauri, which meant we were kept behind in the blocking war. We managed to keep the Raptors from stealing the score in the first half, and had to be satisfied with that... That is, we were ever so close to scoring after a fabulous grab and accurate pass from Loh Psidid... Unfortunately, the Raptors recovered, and we never could get the ball all the way there.
* In the second half, it was very hard to stop the onslaught of the Lizardmen. The Sauri were nigh impossible to take down, and we still could not get a hold of the Skinks. We tried to take advantage of the time needed for a Sauri to pick up the ball, which allowed us to take him down midfield eventually... But when a skink picked it up and ran away, it was all over.
What went right?
* We were creative in finding the solution to the problems while facing the Lizardmen, and came very close to a draw or even an unlikely win. We targeted the right players near the ball or with the ball... But we just had to rely on momentum and kharma to help us as well, and that made it hard.
What have we learned?
Unskilled, it is bloody hard to avoid or take down Sauri, especially when we lost players so early on.
Best Doctrine Performance:
Loh Psidid, for taking advantage of hand-off greed and making a beautiful pass.”
