“Reliability, durability and patience plus a touch of flair from Draknil and a few key hits is what the Forgotten Villains need to succeed against the killers at this level and today we managed that. Fortunately for us the clawpomb wasn't leading to boat loads of players being cas'd off the pitch and the kos we caused through the match gave us a player advantage to leverage.
Soo Loo Shon reorganised their kicking team quickly and sent players into our side of the pitch after Draknil picked up in the backfield and Switchblade ko'd a beastman. We blocked them back and caged up near the centre. Dos Equis tried to charge into the cage but it was a challenge too much. We got through the middle and eventually some players got away near the corner. After a bit of stalling we had 3 beastmen off the pitch but Liquidity did some great dodging, stunned Draknil and caught the dropped ball. Necrophil though smashed him down and got the ball back for a td.
The Chaos sent players into our back field but their beastman tasked with picking up the ball made a hash of it and it was just a matter of keeping their forward players down to stop a td in the time left. Necro Phil ko'ing Chaos Warrior Ghenis helped our cause.
2nd half we saw Liquidity as a key player and Ripper took him out early on. Dos Equis carried over to the side line and we had a moment of pressure on them but Whisk badly hurt Quickfingers and ko'd the Mountain in quick succession as Dos Equis escaped and got the equalizer.
Draknil again carried into a cage and we had to adjust to the side as they barged into our cage. Huffington did a great dodgy blitz to knock down Draknil but Kneecapper Bones caught the ball. We weren't clear yet though and after the Wight smashed down Anderson the Beastman got right back up and knocked him out leaving the ball scattered with moments to go. But we managed to remove the two Beastman obstacles, Necrophil got the ball and handed it off to Draknil to score after some great advice from our brilliant assistant coaches. Good game!”
