“The Forgotten Villains came into this match off the back of a rare 3 game win sequence and confidence was high as the crowd roared the players onto the pitch.
But we came up against a fast and strong Lizardman team who nearly had the beating of us.
As we first blocked forward we didn't realise Stoyan, a Saurus, as with a number of his comrades had great ability at moving his bulk past opposing tackles and he barged through to Draknil and set him on his back. Fortunately we could regroup and Draknil regained the ball. They kept attacking our cage as we swapped sides as best we could. After a couple of skinks were hurt we managed to score midway through the half to my relief.
The Blacks setup to attack down one flank and our attempt to stop the td was easily foiled by the one of the lightning fast star skinks.
Then as we had a little time in the half to look for another td The Mountain ko'd Chujdam but then tripped over his lose bandages and fell to the ground. Our rythym was disrupted and Milcho gleefully pounced on the abandoned ball and went forward. A counter td was on until Necro Phil chased him down and ko'd him.
Second half a skink again scored comfortably behind a saurus screen, and we were under pressure. But with some of the Komodos laying up hurt off the pitch we managed to break through their lines despite what at first appeared a perfect defence and some aggressive play. Draknil grabbed his 2nd. The stupidity of Muschka certainly helped our cause today. Good match.”
