We proved unstoppable in the first half, although we lost our Leader to a fireball (KO'd due to niggle, stays out for rest of game–– turns out to be critical), and although the goblins loosed the ball many times, good dice saved us, and we managed to score by turn 8. We also declined to fail any Bone Head rolls for basically the first ~25 Activations, and take out both chainsaws in the process.
However, the second half, although it started quite well for us, was a orgy of Nuffle love for the Goblins, who simply could not be kept down. The managed several blitzes on the ball, but were thwarted each time by a nasty bounce, a 1/36 failed GFI, or (most spectacularly) a stun when Childchewer took a Both Down against the Pogo and somehow managed to hurt himself without scratching the goblin. The goblins were at ease with the ball, and scampered away, to stall and score on Turn 7. We almost manage a TTM counterscore, but are 1 yard short.
In more exciting news, Cookie is now the most infamous fouler in the league, RIP'ing Pro Plus–– whom neither Apo nor Regeneration could help. Nasty little bugger...
All in all, a terrifically fun game against a nice coach.”
