“Didn't pay attention initially to the weather as I wasn't aware of how drastic the effects could be, used up my rerolls trying to just get hold of the ball.
Three players out on the first kick return saw the skaven swarm all over me and run the ball in for an easy TD. On the following kickoff the crowd again get involved and take out another player! So that's the weather and the crowd that hate me:)
Dragged my sorry backside to halftime with a badly mauled team and 0-3 down.
Wierd connection problems meant that although I'd hosted the game initially we ended up starting from a saved game (must find out how this was done) and I had the good fortune to have my WE go from being BH to bustin' out and getting me my lone TD.
At some point in the second half I realised that the weather was causing all my handling errors rather than sheer incompetance, but far too late to do anything about it.
Glad I got the TD as it earnt the WE a skill, the Rumblers were well worth their win (and can thank their fans for the help too:).
“Game started in pouring rain and we both had no one with sure hands on our side as my thrower was injured and he had none in his lineup. I won the toss and let him recieve and off the fumble session started.
He burned his reroll quite early and, if I remember correctly, didn't manage to pick up the ball once in the first half. A pitch invasion and a well thrown rock between the eyes of one of his players (resulting in a kill) wasn't exactly helpful for him.
By halftime I was already leading 3 to nill. I scored in my offensive drive with usual difficulties and stopped his drive when my SV blitzed his WE resulting in a BH for her. Then I got disconnected.
I could not figure out how to reconnect to the game and I loaded the savegame. This time the WE made a miracuous recovery , SIed my SV and scored a consolidation TD. He started some fouling which wasn't to bad as two players were sent off. I scored my fifth in turn 7 of the second half virtually gaining a solid victory.”
