“This was a great back and forth match. The Elves were hot to prevent a Rottie repeat and came out firing. The Elves scored first off a quick snap, and then again off a blitz. The Rotties were down 2-0 after 3 turns and a little in disarray. The Rotties took another kick and this time, pushed up the center of the field, only to be stuffed by the Elves tandem of monster blitzers (Hothris and Cuthalion.) The Rotties tried to get a little elf bally but failed and nearly surrendered a third score to the elves at the close of the half.

In the second half, the game changed completely. Gladius Argentum swarmed the Scarlett Heaver (EBBL regular season kill leader) and gang fouled him out of the match. They paid the price though as a blodge side stepper was banned by the officials, and the Rotties were allowed to score quickly. The following kick off saw the elves starting to feel the effects of the Nurgle attrition. Gladius Argentum was able to spread the Rotties enough to get into position for a score when the elf thrower Andaranco tripped and lost the ball (the Nurgle coach believes this was a panicked event as Andaranco was under duress and had suffered serious injury the last time he played the Whilers.) Either way, the trip put the ball on the ground and the Whilers pounced. The Rotties were able to score to close the half and tie the match at 2-2. The Rotties won the coin toss and the overtime was never really a contest. The battered Argentum elves started dropping to the steel boot of their former comrade in arms (Idril Camalkar) and before long, only the mighty Elendar Cuthalion was left on the field. Rottie super star Typhumble Fever walked across the goal line to put the final stamp on the greatest comeback in Evansville Cup history while poor Cuthalion was gang humiliated by the rest of the Rottie team.

This, was a great game and definitely won for the record books. The Elves left the match largely intact, with no perm's to key players. The Rottie Whilers are happy to have won, but nervous that their developing arch rival was able to escape so unscathed. We will see how season 11 pans out to know whether the old guard of Gladius Argentum will be able to unseat the new guard and 2 time repeat Evansville Cup Champion Rottie Whilers!”
