Although up to that point he had never missed a game due to injury, Angelen began to be plagued by various viral ailments which forced him to be a late scratch for several matches. Finally after sitting out 3 straight games due to a virus, and refusing to be a burden to the team, a very frustrated Angelen retired in disgust.
After a several year hiatus and intensive physical and magical therapy... Angelen felt rejuvenated and made a comeback...
However, on a black evening toward the end of May in 2019, in Angelen's 101st game; GA's nemesis The Rottie Whilers ended Angelen and fellow legend Arodanu Ollchir glorious careers... As time was expiring GA attempted a go ahead touchdown pass, but the pass nearly slipped from Thrower Eldaúmaitë Harwërato's grasp leaving him holding the ball, and his teammates shocked and defenseless. Their opponent wasted no time in punishing the Elves for the rare mistake, as the game was ending, Malaria had a Little Lamb, with the assist of 3 other players, Killed Angelen Hothris!
(Unbelievably, skills #1,2,5,&6 were all Double 6s!?)
