“A true crazy match this with plenty to laugh at or hurl abuse at for the fans. Somehow despite dealing out 50 blocks and seeing some shock Elf fumbles we conjure up more than enough fail ourselves to end in defeat.
We started out with a fairly quick TD for Son of Draknil. A couple of Elves were ko'd (one hit and a trip) but I felt we should get a TD on the board. The ghoul stumbled in the endzone but just kept it together.
The Elves received and suddenly things got trickier for them when Lemmy the Blitzer used his new skills from team training in a blitz on Werdna but fouled it up and ended up badly hurt. Werdna then followed that up by breaking the throwers ribs, and then Duff made a surprise fumble instead of passing so we were suddenly confident. A great chance but soon our own fail started. Faceless Hunter blitzed and stunned Duff but just could not compose himself to pickup the ball (I also forgot about the s5 elf elsewhere). Rudy Sarzo then barged Faceless hunter out of the way but tripped up!
But Quickfingers then made a mess of a block and Faceless Hunter fumbled once more. With a great chance gone Faceless Hunter was surfed and crucially badly hurt while the Elves retrieved the ball. Quickfingers had a chance to make a takedown but he tripped up in front of the carrier. With all the fumbling around time was used up and the Elves made it 1-1 at half time.
Next half we soon lose Son of Draknil in the ko box after giving up a block chance (both sides with 4 out). But Thin Lizzy fumbled a handoff. It was another chance for the Villains! Knut got the ball but Rudy chased him, brought him down and retrieved the ball. A silly blitz choice meant I didn't have chance to bring him down again and he moved on. However rudy wasnt's safe yet and Werdna got at him. But no! An assist and his supposed dauntless ability was not enough and the zombie fell flat. 2-1 for the Elves.
We had some time left but no ghouls on the field. The Elves did a great kick and a poor block by the Mountain left us worried. In the end Knut got the ball through the Elf lines it just needed four players to get around him. A turn of pace from a few was needed. But first up Valkia slipped up (even with team training) and suffered a retire worthy injury! A sad moment when it seemed with some cover the equalizer was there for the taking. But Knut was smashed down and badly hurt by the power of the elves. There was still time for Rudy to be cas'd and Quickfingers Murphy to fail again with a doubleskulls against Mott. A 2-1 win for the Elves. It turned out theough they had some fumbles they did enough to recover each time. I made some mistakes but a very fun game.
