We received and the opening kick-off was a blitz! The orc team over committed and our catcher managed to squeeze through the line and run off into open field rolling snake eyes as he was attempting to create full separation. The orc team recovered getting into the TZ of the ball but it was an easy scoop and score for the elvish catcher.

On the next drive, a nice leap/dodge/1BD hit by the 5ag dancer sacked the ball carrier, the orc team recovered, withstood a 1 BD wrestle hit (with RR), and proceeded to remove elves from the pitch. With a -2BD leap/blitz, the war dancer managed to strip the ball, the catcher missed the 4+ pickup that would have almost surely set up for another WE score in the first half. The orc team recovered but the elves missed a gfi to get a 2 BD hit on the ball carrier resulting in an orc T8 score to tie it up 1-1.

In the 2nd half, the orc team marched down the field with their ball carrier avoiding a 1BD wrestle hit until finally a missed orc dodge left an opening, the wardancer landed a 1 BD hit sacking the ball carrier, a catcher scooped the ball but failed his dodge away. The orc team applied pressure on the ball putting 2 orc bodies on it near the sidelines. A 1 BD hit (needing a push) opened up a lane for the 5 ag wardancer to leap/dodge his way through and get the ball to the cherry picking catcher who ran off to stall. We scored with 2 turns remaining to go up 2-1.

The Orc team prevented a 1 BD hit on the ball carrier so we managed to create a slight wall/blockade to try and prevent a T15 TD attempt, the 1 BD blitz and gfis succeeded tying the game up 2-2. A lack of personnel and strength prevented a chain push OTT attempt.

It felt like whoever won the coin toss would win in OT... But the Orc team won the coin toss... Already low in numbers (11 vs 7), we felt we needed to play very aggressively... A -2 BD hit on the ball carrier stripped him of the ball, but we failed the 3+ pickup which would have resulted in a score. The orc team tried to recover by getting one player in the ball's TZ but the 5ag dancer was able to leap out and bring the player down with 2 BD to setup an easy dodge, pickup and gfi for the game winning score and the wood elf lineman did not disappoint. Heck of a match!”
