Match Highlights:
The U-dogs start strong, scoring quickly with their LineRunner play but things go badly immediately after the restart as the team from the 7 kingdoms manage to kill two goblins and put nobbla out the game in their first turn. The U-dogs do manage to get a blitz in on the ToFaI ballcarrier but after bouncing around inside the surrounding scrum of players the ball lands kindly for the Norsemen and from there it is an easy task for them to make an 8th turn score. Halftime and the scores are 1 all.
Start of the second half and a short kick gives the gobbo mob a chance to slip through the opposition defence and gang blitz the Targaryen ballcarrier, bringing him down. They even manage to collect the loose ball and form a defensive pocket around the carrier – what has got into these runtz that they are doing so much so right? But, alas, the brief moment of coordinated success comes to nothing due to the delectable dodging of the 112SPP AV5 SuperStar Player from House Bolton who simply walks through the goblins and swats the U-dog ballcarrier down, reclaiming the ball for ToFaI. The match now settles down to the familiar scene of U-dogs getting beaten up and hospitalised as their opponents stroll down pitch to score and win the match 2-1.
A good game that pretty much went to script, quick U-dogs score giving the Norse the opportunity to grind down field to score in the final turn of each half and win the game. Yet the break through in the second half could well have led to a 2-1 U-dog lead if it wasn’t for that illegitimate son of House Bolton. Once more the thread bare pride of the U-dogs dangles from the flimsy and fraying dreams of what could have been.
