“Match Highlights:

First turn and Gerald is Killed! Not wishing to rely on his natural regenerative powers the team’s founder and most talismanic player is rushed off the pitch on a stretcher to see the team medic – who for the first time actually manages to save a player’s life – Gerald is up and having a nice cup of tea in the teams dug out but will not play any more part in this drive. Despite this the U-dogs are able to exploit their greater speed over the undead team and run in a TD in the corner – 1-0 Udogs and Gerald is back on the pitch.

First turn after restart and Gerald has clearly not fully recovered from his recent brush with death as he is once again stretchered off the pitch, this time he is simple KOed but yet again the U-dogs are playing a whole drive without one of their key players. With the only threat to their physical dominance off the field the Dominators live up to their name and pound their way down field to level the scores at 1-1.

Gerald survives past the first turn of the second half, but the rest of his team is crumbling around him, with only 4 rats remaining on the field along side him by the start of the final quarter. There is simply nothing Gerald or his rodent entourage can do to prevent the winning TD. Final scores are 2-1 to the Dominators who played a classic undead grind scoring in turn 8 of each half and hospitalising no fewer than 9 U-dog players. Fortunately for the long term survival of the U-dogs all but one fatality landed in the BH box so there will be a team able to play the next game.
