The Sentinels fist ever meeting with Steaked was a pivotal moment in the club's history. A playoff for Premier League promotion at the end of SWL 59, it ended in a convincing Steaked win and the demise of Sentinels talisman Felaern. With both teams now in the Premier League, they met again for the first time since that fateful day.
Pushed on by their embittered coach, the Sentinels were out for revenge. Completely ignoring the ball, the Sentinels went behind on the scoreboard early, but managed to foul 2 of the Dark Elves off the pitch. As the half progressed Ivlisar managed to get his hands on the ball, and by half time the Sentinels were leading 2-1, had a 2 player advantage, and were receiving the kick in the 2nd half. Things were looking good for the Sentinels first win in the Premier League.
After a mid-pitch scrap and possession being lost, Tanyl expertly scooped the loose ball from the ground and ran in to open space ready to score. With 2 Dark Elves closing on the star blitzer, the Sentinels coach made the risky call to slow down to give his teammates time to do some more damage. This predictably backfired as Tanyl was closed in and spectacularly failed to dodge away from his pursuers, ending up in the casualty box and spilling the ball into the crowd.
Steaked went on to score a last turn equaliser, as the Sentinels caused no harm to their despised opponents. A most disappointing game for the Sentinels, throwing away a win and finding no satisfaction in their unfulfilled ambition for revenge.
A distant cousin of Felaern, "Kevin Quickstream" jumped at the chance to get revenge on Steaked, filling in as an injury replacement. His first foul (of 5) got the team off to a good start.
