Cabal Visions spectators were treated to a wonderfull match this day. On paper, and with a spiked ball on the pitch, it looked like it was gonna be a tough game for both teams.
Aslak and his Nurgle team was facing a stronger team, one who had no fear - being undead and all. While Beloghan was facing a ball that wanted to kill him, and no Agility with which to play it. Neither had expected the game they got.
Aslak chose to recieve the ball, not wanting to rely on the ball to the damage when he had just players on the field as Spasmpus, Slugbubo and Kylgot! And with Mosstail on the pitch, that ball was in sure hands.
He lined up his team to give a beating, but while the ball was still in the air, the Guardians went into action, blitzing across the middle. This immidiatly put Nurgle under pressure. But some cunning play that envolved Mosstail running up the middle to pass on the ball to Ghonaz, and him then blitzing his way through the Guardians defence, meant the ball was safe on its way to the endzone.
At the same time, the warriors on the team were doing theirs, and sent several skeleton saurii out of the game, hurt so badly that they couldnt even regenerate the damage.
Since field advantage, along with the poor agility of the undead meant that Ghonaz could do a little victory walk and dance as he finally crossed the line in the 8th turn.
The 2nd half meant the Guardians would get the ball, and despite it being spiked, and their ballhandler being just AG1, he got it in his hands on the first. But alas, as he looked up the field, he could see Kylgot smash out Krotep! And moments later Ximtra took down himself with a block, and the way was now open for the Pestigors to stream towards the Saurii with the ball. He tried to hit back, but was overpowered and pushed into the crowd, and eventually, Mosstail regained the ball, and ran in the 2nd TD for Nurgle.
The last offensive line up for the Guardians saw just 5 of them take to the field, one of the undeads for some reason being hit by the hot weather??
Needless to say, they could not hold the Nurgle team who blitzed, and Mosstail streamed straigt for the ball, caught it as it landed and sprinted down field for the 3rd TD of the game.
A stunning succes for Aslak, unlike any he has had for a long time. Not since the defeat of the Khorne team has he been more proud of his team.
The next day on the training pitch, Spasmpus and Slugbubo showed off their new skills... what will this team become in the future..???”
