Things didn't start too brightly with a turnover in round one. Instead of reducing the lizard's numbers, I ended up with 10 orcs facing 11 lizards despite having received. A few turns later I lost the ball too, making things even worse. Luckily the skinks were a bit conservative and couldn't fully capitalize. Anyway, by turn 6 I was out of rerolls, which cost me dearly when I got double skulls blitzing the skink with the ball. Luckily Nuffle kept matters a bit balanced, with a fumbled pass for the skinks. 0-0 at halftime. Meanwhile Helmut Wulf was still around, after a succesful bribe kept him in the game.
The second half was as chaotic as the first one. I started with only 9 orcs (and a goblin) against a still complete Lizardmen team. Then things went weird when a Saurus killed himself (with a failed apoth). Helmut contributed too, causing no less than 3 turnovers this game. Orc armor continued to crumble, but I kept a critical mass of players on the pitch. At sometime the troll went down too. In the middle of the mayhem, a black orc managed a 5+ dodge and blitzed the ballcarrier. He didn't go down, but next turn Helmut caused one of his turnovers trying to take the black orc down. That gave me a second chance, and this time the skink did go down. One of the ST4 blitzers managed to pick up the ball and managed to ran in the winning touchdown a few turn later.
Bizarre game, but entertaining nonetheless.
Thanks to Throweck for the game! ”
