“Many fans thought today would simply be an enjoyable league game. A bit of blood and fun but nothing special. Gonga knew differently on his way to the stadium. Indeed his thoughts seem prophetic as the Creeping Spiders stuck an ad out for a last minute extra player. He had been training his entire life for this and this was his chance to build his way up from the bottom.

First up was to prove himself on the line of scrimmage. A bit of dodging around from the clumsy Norse was fine until he found he needed to learn a bit about play at the top level as Olaf timed his hit as Gonga was distracted. Gonga was not given a chance to learn and a hopeful career of 2 minutes was cut tragically short.


On to the actual game the Norse worked their way up confidently for a strong score. They killed a second Goblin in the incredibly popular Krusti Skiddz. Much to the annoyance of both sets of fans as he was apparently very popular. The Goblins came back with a vengeance. Removing Norsemen from the field with abandon. Still the Norse harried and harassed the Goblins as they moved forward leading the Fanatic to try and chase the ball carrier forward to hurry him up for the score. Unfortunately even the capable Snotmuva couldn't avoid the ball and chain for long (read: best time triple skulls ever as he took out his own ball carrier, note the ball carrier had blodge!!!)

The second half lead to the Goblins outmanouvering the Norse quickly for the score. The Norse with several turns left went about their business efficiently. Beserker on the ball, 3 Goblins removed immediately leaving them with 4 left. It left the Warriors with plenty of chance to win the game until Snotmuva went on a suicidal charge into the Norse cage and somehow came up trumps (read double pow on a -2db vs a blodger followed by a 6 on the catch !) The Norse got the ball off him as he was sent into the crowd but unfortunately couldn't recover and had to settle for a draw.

Some fans even switched sides over the cruel killing of Krusti Skiddz!
