A series of flukey plays (and a little bit of bad luck on a GFI) meant that even though we lost the coin-toss (first part of the goblin playbook - use a coin with two tails) we got the ball away into the Inquisition's half, and managed to score with the Reverse-Thrown-Goblin-Switcheroo - get the ball near his end zone, then throw a goblin onto it and run it in. Stunty dodge is a wonderful thing (mostly)

After that we had 7 players left(one of those lazy journeymen wandered off after the first turn, complaining that his leg hurt) so it was going to be a struggle to keep the frogs out.

Hot weather or some rock throwing would have helped. The fans rioted and if they'd kept going for a tiny bit longer (5 turns, maybe) perhaps we could have held to a 2-2 draw but this was a perfectly pleasant way to spend the day (even with a T16 foul - Pinkeye would have been muttering about that for days afterwards)

Now we have enough cash to buy some players. The goblin rampage restarts for Round 3...”
