“A tough, TOUGH match. Bart of War won the toss, and elected to receive the kick, and for the rest of the half we were on our arses more than our feet! Credit where credit's due; we defended superbly, and the opponents cage, a.k.a. "the evil machine" found it hard going in the middle of the field.
This game was always going to be won by tying the opponents bigger pieces down, and with that in mind we set up for the second half. After only three turns however, we were down to 8, with both BH Troll Slayers added to the sin-binned Balin. Superb work by Khîm, Gamil Zirak, and Frerin in tying down the 4 Mummies allowed Bombur to move up the left flank and, with his posse of Longbeards, set up stall for the final push.
After a brief scuffle with the remaining zombies, Bombur was knocked prone two yards from the line, with the ball scattering between Bart, Martin and Jimbo. With nothing to lose, Bombur stood up, blitzed Bart, dodged out, moved back into two tackle zones, picked the ball up, dodged again, and went for it twice to stagger across the line and score the winning TD - now that's playing ball!

As head coach, it's worrying to see a trend of last turn TD's but, in the end, a win's a win.

Player of the game: The two Troll Slayers worked tirelessly until they were unceremonially dumped out the game, but Bombur in his first game was immense with a last minute TD topping off a wonderful debut. Narvi who?

Donkey of the game: Balin knew that he should have left the fouling to the 'beards, but he couldn't help himself, and was rightly sent off at the end of the first half.
