To be the first team to gain anything from Der Ivan kommt, while also inflicting the first conceded TD's in eight games, was fairly pleasing. Having said that, we can feel that the game could have been won.
Going into this match, with a brief glimpse at the opposition roster, we felt fairly confident. On closer inspection, it was revealed that they had not conceded in 7 games (5 all season), and had won every match they played. So a little bit worried. The team Runesmith worked for the first time and Telchar was boosted from nasty to lethal but it was Borin who ended up being the show-stealer, with 3 casualties to his credit.
The second half Blitz! left the opposition reeling, and with 4 turns to go we were left with the dilema; score or stall? In the end, and in no small part due to Carl_Stoneyard's good chat, we opted for the score and the restart. A mistake. A quick equaliser left it in the balance and, not wanting to risk the loss, we clammed up tighter'n a homophobe's arse in a gay nightclub.

So 2-2 it ended with both teams happy about the game for different reasons, and Mîm dreaming about being the top passing Longbeard ever! Only nine more to go then...

Player of the game: If it hadn't been for that pesky Regen, Borin's three casualties would have proved more decisive, and we would have gotten away with it!

This was Der Ivan kommt's first point loss. I can't believe that my usually solid defence let in two td's... vs a dwarf team!

The first half ended 1-1 and was fairly even. In the second half I recieved but got blitzed. My last wolf went crowdsurfing and I started to panic, made some mistakes. The dwarves started to tear my team apart. Trif had a chance to stall his 2-1 td, but chose not to.

I made 2-2 with a desperate attack by my sidestepping ghoul. A am happy that I got away with a draw...

Trif was a very good sport in this game and he also played very well. But I would have stalled...
