“Tervandi actually didn't die from a hit, but rather a failed dodge to get to a loose ball. His sacrifice won't go unremembered, as it was what allowed us to retake the ball we'd just mis-thrown and score the equalizer. Then, his first block of the next drive resulted in a pow/skull, no rerolls left to help the rookie lineelf, paving the way for Sai, the super-blitzer gutter, to take the ball away for Shinai to claim for the rats. Had to survive one last blitz by his boys before we could score...the strip ball took it out of Shinai's hands, and into Sai's, who scored the lead next turn.

One last gasp attempt by the darkies, but FA proved too great a distraction, forcing a misthrow the rats could claim. One VERY last gasp via the strip-baller meant some lucky dodges could still score the equalizer as time expired...but it wasn't meant to be.

Nuffle laughed at both sides during the course of the game, first granting the rats many 1's to allow the elves to take a 2-0 lead, then the elves faced their 1's to allow the rats to storm back (with the help of a well executed OTS chainpush to end the first half). Unfortunately for the rats, Shuriken, the super-star-in-the-making thrower, aged a niggle on only his third skill. I guess we just weren't meant to have his +Str/+Agi services for too long.
