The first half was where the damage was done, the first drive going off to plan for the Maroons as they maraud down our flank, bhing Elan in the process (turn 1 bhs are becoming a curse :/). Unfortunately, our reply is intercepted by the star lino Carl, and a break through our line makes it two. And then our thrower fumbles his pick up, and it's three.... Half time, 3-0.

Second half, and another elven drive is messed up... I need to vary my approach :) Our backfield battle hard for this one, but still it crosses the line for 4-0, Carl again. We make one last attempt at a consolation, the set up goes well, the pass is away, a hand goes up and.... Carl! Again! He hands off to a catcher, who runs down field and falls flat on his face :)
We race the ball back upfield, and mr ag 5 catcher goes the full 11 squares for his first td and our consolation. Full time, 4-1.

Ok so I was a bit unlucky, but really it was the spectacular skills of the Maroons (pass block/strip ball/tackle/shadowing/etc) that bogged down our play and won them the match. Nice team daaave :)
