“The Athketic began the half in a rush to get injured. The first five injury rolls led to a healty 3K0's, a BH and an SI. Little Miss Dakrness picked up another SI (thankfully apothaceried) as did Harald the Hateful, and before the half was over there was time for Angry Anderson to die. His wild, aggressive blocking shall be sorely missed.
Good play by both teams - including a great central blitz 2 turn TD by Bigger than you think - gave a first half scoreline of 2-1 to the Dwarfs.
With their two Stength 4 players gone, two guard players gone and playing a tackle-heavy, guard-filled Dwarf team, Druchii were forced to elfbowl it.
For the first time, the mighty fingers of Darius Longarm were not founding wanting. Three great passes (two caught under serious pressure by the up-and-coming John the Injured) and only one mistake (a dodge when he should have passed, fool) helped the Athletic to a very narrow victory.
At 2-2 and with Bigger in possession, it was looking bad for the Dark Elves, but thanks to some highly-lucky, near suicidal blitzing by Little Miss Delirium, the Athletic were able to steal the ball away from their own baseline for a dramatic turn 8 touchdown.
Once again, the MVP selectors made a highly controversial decision by awarding the MVP award to Angry Anderson. Whilst it pleased the fans, Angry Anderson's sole contribution to the game was a spirited sprint down the right wing where he was blocked to death.
A good, balanced game between two evenly-matched coaches, with an enjoyable smattering of outlandish luck and crushed players.”
