“First turn bh to his str 4 ghoul...things are looking good! Second turn bh to one of his tackle zombies...even better! However, fail a pass for a touchdown (rat waiting for the ball that'll never come summarily crowdpushed), and ball picked up by zombie in tz who gets freed to run by a 1d POW to my RO. I'm able to use speed and agility to get the ball back, and he jars it loose to get caught by my gutter (with catch) in tz. Double-fail a gfi to let him have his turn, and after much scrumming and crowdpushing by both sides I get the ball in position to score, and do so as the first half expires...almost.

Lineup for a meaningless kickoff, and BOOOM. He multiblocks and badly hurts two rats, then fouls a third bh...sure, his rookie zombie gets ejected, but all of a sudden this secure game becomes ruthless! I now have only 6 rats to field the entire second half (couple others hurt earlier), and he has two mummies, three ghouls and a butt-load of foul-happy zombies. Somehow I survive without any further injuries, and he scores the equalizer as the second half expires...almost. I have one turn to win with my OTS...hey, that's why he's on the roster, not to score first, but to score last if needed. However, even his sure-feet skill doesn't help stop a friggin double-1 gfi, ending the game a draw.

Guess it was a fair result all told, but I do feel a tad cheated at the end. My opponent can make all the accusations of luck he wants to regarding the first 7 turns of the match, but it's clear that from that point on nothing worked for me. Guess we were just in shock over that uber-hit that mummy pasted upon us...”
