...and upon returning, he's already had a full turn of play, but I still see the setup of players from BEFORE the disconnect! So of course when I go to move players they fail dodges in thin air, followed by being smacked hard by previously invisible ninja elves, losing the ball and him scoring instead, while my horde of norse are just standing there wondering what the heck just happened, and the head coach is using every cuss word he knows.

Most opponents would've just said "dem's da breaks" and stalled for a draw, but this guy realized how badly shafted I'd been by the restart and left me two turns to score in. Incredibly, despite repeated droppings of the ball and lucky bouncings back onto my players, I'm able to actually handoff the ball to a guy in scoring range. This leaves my opponent one turn to try to equalize, and a masterfully done chainpush has his catcher in position to score with but a single gfi, but unfortunately for him the first dodge proves the last as well.

My hat's off to you, and the offer is open for a rematch at any time. This game at least, you were a better man than I. Next game, however... ;-)”
