“Rain definitley hurt the elves this match along with a lot of 1s- add to this that my armour rolls were smoking and you pretty much have a certain loss for the elves. Of course nothing is ever certain when playing against elves and they sometimes pulled some amazing plays out of the bag.
Unfortunately for them their sometimes great luck was then countered by some incredibly poor luck.
I'll give you a late example:
After some furious 2d against blocks the elves manage to knock the ball carrier down. They pick up the ball in 2 TZs and rain and pass it halfway down the field - still in the two TZs only for a FA beast man-marking the reciever to intercept the ball...
The game ended with a Blitz! As there was just one turn left it was really just rubbing salt into the wound of the elves.
