Scampi was one of only two original Ruffians to make it past 100 games (the other being captain Skrit Razorclaw), although he was frequently out injured and nick-named 'sick note' by his team-mates. Ironically he managed to survive where so many others retired early or ended on the post-match banquet table, and has now finally retired to the position of defensive coach.
A utility defensive player who was adept at covering opponent receivers and opposing ballcarriers, he didn't score many touchdowns but was a fan favourite for his defensive qualities. He made it to the FUMBBL Cup Final, Warpstone Open Semis, and won an Alabaster Lantern and Grotty Little Tournament Old Teams Qualifier.
