Soong was retired after Gray Seeker had made an appalling spectacle out of himself in a game against Ogres, and failing to shape up his ballhandling he was given more of a support role, making Soong unneeded. Of course, Soongs tendency to spend pretty much every defensive kickoff in the Dug-Out, didn't endear him to the Coach, and made the decision that much easier.
