The Warlord of Blood, amongst the greatest mortal warriors to ever set foot in the Realms of Chaos, was infamous even amongst the great daemonic legions. Khorne would often bring him into the realms of the Great Game, the endless battlefield of the Gods, and the Warlord of Blood with his mighty blade would cut a swathe out of any God's followers who would oppose him or his master's legions. However, just like many other Champions, the Warlord of Blood manged to fail his master. At the eve of a great push into the great sorcerer's territory, cutting down hundreds of opposing Daemons, the Warlord of Blood met his match against the mighty Lord of Change, A'khaari. While the Warlord of Blood did manage to barely survive the encounter, the wrath of Khorne was great.

As punishment, Khorne took away the Warlord of Blood's mighty daemon weapon and shattered it to pieces. Before the Warlord of Blood could beg for forgiveness however, Khorne gripped him in his gigantic hands and threw him into the Old World. The Warlord of Blood then found himself amongst a small group of fellow Chaos followers, who were once known as the Warp Storm Ravagers.

Somehow the Warlord of Blood now finds himself again in the mortal realm. This time among another team, the Chaos Waste Marauders. While it was believed he and his previous team had vanished back into the Realms of Chaos, it seems that the Warlord has returned but for reasons currently unknown. That said, there are very few players who can ever truly leave the Blood Bowl field willingly and not get an itch to return to the ever hazardous and chaotic environment and maybe it is this what brought the infamous Warlord back to the mortal realms. Or maybe something else?

The Warlord of Blood almost met his end recently. In a match against a Nurgle team called Primordial Goo, a Pestigor tore into the Warlord's armour, rending asunder both steel and flesh with its great talons. The Warlord of Blood lay in a mangled heap and with his last ounce of life cried out to the Blood God not to let him fall like this.

Khorne being both impressed and amused at the Warlord's pleading, answered his prayers. The apothecary who was tending to what little he could, was astonished as the Warlord's body began to miraculously mend. Although the Warlord was in no condition to continue fighting, he was alive. Khorne had blessed him with another third chance and had also granted the Warlord a phenomenal amount of strength, already adding to his vicious demeanour. The Warlord thanked Khorne but the gift has also come with a price. The Warlord will not be given another chance as the Blood God's favour can only go so far. The Warlord of Blood does not intend to fail his patron again.

The Warlord of Blood finally met his end after a horrifying match against a Goblin team. Although the match did end 1-1, a Troll splattered the Chaos Warrior into mush after blocking him to the ground. His cries of anguish were quickly snuffed out as the great brute crushed the warrior into a disgusting fleshy red paste. It is to be seen if the legendary Warlord is to return due to his patron or if Khorne has run out of patience and this was his final hour.
