Most human teams scoff at the idea that their strongest player would be a catcher; the Knights of Tyrena are surprisingly silent when something like this is mentioned. Or surprising, that is, until Speedy Sam steps into the room. Speedy Sam is a behemoth of a catcher, literally doubling the strength of any rookie catcher on the field.
Speedy Sam has already had a fairy tale of a career in just four games. Sam quickly exploded to be a touchdown menace in his first three games, respectively scoring 2, 2, and 3 TD's; two of these games he single-handedly won. Asked to slow down his scoring to let the rest of his team develop in his fourth game, Speedy Sam became a defensive monster, cleanly knocking two orc blitzers off their feet as they steamrolled their way to the endzone. He also tried his hand in passing, completing a throw to Jellyroll Jake for a quick TD.
Speedy Sam knows his time might be cut short by a violent injury, however. Catchers from all species seem to have a hard time making it in the FUMBBL without a broken neck here or there. His teammate in his first two games, Stickyhands Carl, suffered a lost head in game three, ending his short career.
