Dick Haymes (born September 13, 1918 in Buenos Aires) was one of the most popular American male vocalists of the 1940s. He worked in Hollywood on many films throughout the forties and fifties. He was married six times and had six children all together.
He was infamous briefly for having relinquished his United States citizenship to avoid serving in World War II.
His most famous marriages being to film actress Joanne Dru, and the popular star of the forties Rita Hayworth.
He died on March 29, 1980, in Los Angeles from lung cancer, aged 61.
