Xune recieved a serious injury (niggling) in the Underdark Nightmares 24th game. She wanted to retire, but coach Arcon couldn´t bring the money for a replacement.
So Xune stayed in the active team for the next game. And the next. And again the next. Nowadays the team is strong enough so it could play without Xune. But she has recovered her fun for the sports, now facing death in each game she participates.
Coach Arcon is a bit confused why such a renowned player would run to the LoS and try to stop the opponent instead of playing more carefully or even helping out as an assistant coach. But he does not complain. That way, the healthy players are somewhat safer....
2005-12-13 It was in the Fumbbl Cup IV quarter finals when she was slain.

2005 The team entered the <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=group&op=view&group=2754"> swiftest applicants group</a> of the great <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=group&op=view&group=195">Fumbbl Cup</a>.
We have won the qualifier, gaining a place in the Fumbbl Cup, but suffered severe loss of players on the way:
<a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&op=view&id=918018">First game </a> was vs an underpowered Ogre team which we won easily. But a nasty foul and apo failure resulted in the death of our witch <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&op=view&player_id=790268"> Yasraene Painbringer</a>. In the <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&op=view&id=926934">second game</a> luck helped us to turn a possible win into a supreme victory. The only bad reminder of this game was the ageing (niggle) of the Blitzer <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&op=view&player_id=2029463">Zassra</a> at second skill. The <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&op=view&id=928929">final game </a> was a great challenge, having to face Csonti´s Orcs. But we managed a win, dearly purchased: The young Thrower <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&op=view&player_id=2036483">Jerruma</a> was killed and <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&op=view&player_id=2029463">Zassra</a> received her second niggling injury and thus was retired. To make things even worse, the ST4 witch <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=1765846">Xuldra Poison</a> aged and niggled at gaining her third skill.
Happy but battered the team made it into the Cup. In search for a rebuilding game to earn 20k to buy a new Blitzer, they encountered <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&op=view&id=933733">Tukker Terror Team II</a>. A Chaos Warrior blocked our great Thrower <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&op=view&player_id=1634854">Greylar</a> so hard that not even the apo could prevent death (again, failure). Following this game, we played vs a <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&op=view&id=939649">Wood Elf team</a>. It was a tight match with many winnings, but for the 3rd time in the last 5 games our apo failed, after 2 RIPs now not helping at a -AV of our new Blitzer. This apo really sucks!

In our <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&op=view&id=965452">first game</a> we encountered an Undead team. we got lucky with the handicap rolls as well as with the overall game running and won 1:0.
We got lucky with the handicap rolls and overall game running in the <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&op=view&id=981539">second game</a> versus the Dark Elf team Axiom, coached by tautology, and advanced to next round.
The <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&op=view&id=1003571">third game</a> was agains Chaos Dwarves and it was played without handicaps. We did fight with all we had, we were hurt a lot, but victory was ours.
With 2 freebooted Linos we were 11 players to enter the <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&op=view&id=1004706">fourth game</a>, the semi final. The High Elves started with a full roster, but this game we dealt the injuries. In turn 8 they scored their leading TD, and with 3 side step players at the LoS and we down to 8 players, there was no chance for a one-turner. A great game!
As it turned out, these High Elves won the cup with a 4:1 victory over the Blood Falcons. So we closely lost against the FCIV champions in the semi finals. A good achievement.
