Drakenhoff is an ancient and prestigious university where only those of noble blood are permitted to attend. If you are not noble enough, rich enough or cultured enough you should not even think of applying.

Some say that some of these noble families are cursed: they certainly seem to live a very long time and the university timetable is arranged so that everything takes place in the very late afternoon or evening. The college refutes any of these vampiric allegations however: apparently the cool afternoon air is better for learning.

As well as academia the school takes sport very seriously indeed: those lucky or talented enough to play for the university varsity blood bowl team are treated as celebrities on campus. Recently the college has started to allow servants to play on the team as well, often acting as bodyguards for the noble stars. Other Ivy League colleges are disgusted at this behaviour but if someone needs a snack mid game there has to be something available!

Memorial Field is an imposing block of stone visible for miles around. On match nights (no matchdays) it is packed with the "big Green" faithful followers.

With the recent collapse of Count Martin College some of the students have transferred to Drakenhoff. This has caused some controversy with current students worried that they will no longer make it to the varsity line up. However the college needs the funds after some costly legal battles over students who have mysteriously disappeared while studying at Drakenhoff.
