TEAM BIO For many years this poverty stricken tribe has made their living along the desolate Crook pass in the World's Edge Mountains. Along with a spot of light raiding, they live by farming fungi and raising squigs as well as enthusiastically extorting and sometimes eating those travelers either too poor or too foolish to join a sufficiently strong caravan when using the pass to cross the peaks. It is a hard life. One day, a luckless wayfarer was in the very act of being lowered into a bubbling cooking pot when in between screaming in fear and begging for mercy he babbled something about being an experienced Bloodbowl coach and how a position had opened up in the prestigious CIBBL competition. Fame, glory and riches would await for any Goblin tribe with the smarts to grab this opportunity. What's more, he, the internationally renowned coach Halfabrain, was the very man to lead them to this bright future. He had just finished a wildly successful season for another top franchise and as luck would have it was now free and would be only too happy to take on the job of team manager. They wouldn't even need to pay him. What could possibly go wrong? It looked like the Cannibals' luck had finally turned. TROPHY ROOM xxxx HISTORY OF THE TEAM Debut CIBBL year 9 Winter 1/3/2 A harsh learning curve with valuable experience gained. Cannibals feel they were a bit unlucky not to go into spring with at least an even record. Spring 1/2/1- 2nd Smashed/diced by the Goblins, beat and beat up the Snots and drew with the 2 skaven teams. Caused a huge amount of casualties, more than anyone and also had to kick every game so hoping for better rolls in summer. *** Did you know... In their first Winter season, the cash-strapped Cannibals were nearly thrown out of the league due to their sub-standard pitch and equipment. The Half-Elf team Waystone Outcasts took pity on them and donated their expertise and some spare kit to bring them up to scratch. Since then the Crookpass Cannibals have always worn orange socks as part of their uniform in honour of this generosity. This Seasons Recipe To celebrate the infinite variety on offer in group 9 this summer We are recreating something truly special. Grom's Ogre Surprise His Imperial Majesty Grom the Fat, King of all the Goblins has his Chef create this after one of his glorious victories. We have substituted the more usual Troll for an Ogre and have added Snakeman which sadly wasn't available in Grom's time but otherwise this is wholly authentic. Traditionalists will have spotted that there is no Dwarf shown here and that all the meat was generally still alive when cooking began but sadly there are no dwarfs around this summer and CIBBL management frowns on the consumption of other teams' players unless they have been confirmed dead by a CIBBL licenced apothecary so we'll just have to make do. Ingrediants: 1 Ogre 1 Orc bigun 1 Human 1 Elf 1 Snakeman 1 Halfling 1 Gnoblar plenty Madcap shrooms and salt and pepper Method: Dig a big hole and build a giant fire therein Build loads of other giant fires Place a great many large rocks in the fires and heat till red hot Stuff the Gnoblar with the shrooms Stuff the Halfling with the Gnoblar Stuff the Snakeman with the Halfling Stuff the Elf with the Snakeman Stuff the Human with the Elf Stuff the Biggun with the Human Stuff the Ogre with the Biggun and any remaining shrooms Place the Ogre in the hole with all the red hot stones Bury and leave for 24 hours Invite all your mates round(and all of their mates too) and dig it up and have a feast with plenty Fungus ale. Past seasons Year 9, Spring In honour of CIBBL combining the Deep Caverns and Skavenblight this spring season, I have reproduced my own take on an old Night Goblin classic; Rat au vin This delicious dish is both nutritious and warming in these still cold early months but is also quick to make and has ingredients that any Goblin should find in plentiful supply this spring. With the addition of Mad cap Mushrooms, you'll not only be pleasantly full but also tripping balls for at least the next day or so. Enjoy! Ingredients: 1 freshly killed Skaven 1 sack Mad Cap mushrooms 12 Gallons Fungus wine Squig juice Brimstone Salt and pepper to taste Method: Skin and gut the skaven before jointing into handy size pieces. Retain guts for the relish later. Take a large cauldron and place on a medium bonfire then saute the skaven pieces until brown. Add the Mad Caps and salt and pepper and cook for a further 10 mins. Pour in the Fungus wine and simmer for an hour. For the Relish, pound the guts in a bowl with the squig juice and plenty of salt and brimstone. Serve in a soup bowl with bread liberally spread with the relish. Bio template by Balle2000. Helmet templates by Thom_Darkness. |
