Rippertown is a good-sized city on the border of the wasteland. It is frequented by ruffians, pirates, slavers, harlots, lawyers, and all manner of ne'er do wells. As such is serves as a great place to recruit mercenaries and bandits into the ranks of the Chaos Marauders. Every once in awhile, the town is unlucky enough to be raided for slaves and sacrificial victims by the chosen warriors of Chaos. On one such day, Robert The Dark-Handed, better known as Bob the Black Knight to his underlings, was riding his chaos beast, relishing in the general slaughter and madness when out of nowhere a strange egg-shaped projectile hit him between the eyes, knocking him off his mount and to the ground. Fortunately for him, his head broke his fall. But for a few seconds he was out cold, and during that time, he was granted a vision by the Chaos Gods, telling him that he was about to start a great crusade into a realm still fresh for slaughter in the name of darkness. Or maybe it had something to do with those funny mushrooms he ate in his gruel for lunch. Either way, when he came to, he discovered that the projectile was none other than a Blood Bowl ball that had been kicked stray from the gravel pit serving as a field. After slaughtering the offending Blood Bowl players, he decided that the Chaos Gods had intended for him to create a Blood Bowl team, and spread carnage and earn glory on the blood-stained pitch. He has since "volunteered" a trio of his aspiring champions, a motley horde of beastmen, and an Ogress whose time of the month seems to be pretty much perenial. They claimed Rippertown as their home city , and have had a few scrimmages with some of the local farm teams, which basically devolved into an all-out slaughter. Despite a scandal which included Bob the Black Knight throwing chairs across the pitch and allegations of choking one of his beastmen at practice, Manic Aggression has become the pride of Rippertown. Though diabolical, depraved, and utterly insane, each of the players has proven to be quite a colorful character, and their antics both on and off the field will no doubt make them a fan favorite among the equally bloody-minded fans wherever they go. When asked how he thought his team would fare their rookie season, Bob the Black Knight replied: "Discipline. Commitment. The ability to work well in clutch situations. Basic fundamentals. Team unity. Natural talent--These are really the only things they lack." With that vote of confidence Manic Aggression has thrown thier spiky helmet into the ring, and is gearing up to kill, maim and brutalize as much as they can, while making sure a good time is had by all. If the Chaos Gods smile upon them, they might even win a few games of Blood Bowl in the process. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Up Date<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< After some turbulant times, Manic Aggression has found a stable pattern to their game play--losing. However, they have begun to dole out some punishment. They have gone from a -7 Casualty versus to a +8 Casualty for in the course of a handful about a half dozen games. They're carrying around some bumps and bruises, and have retired a few players. However they also have some new blood on their team, and the veterans have picked up some skills along the way. Lead by the indomitable Mephisto Wildblood and the assistant captain, Rok, the team is gearing up to see if they can actually put a few TD's up there on the board this time around. More popular than ever and even sporting a few cheerleaders, this team is starting to catch it's second wind. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>Further update>>>>>>>>>>>>> The sports columnist who wrote the above apparantly spoke too soon. Blamed for jinxing their beloved team, the citizens of Rippertown burned, stoned, evicerated, flogged, lascerated, stabbed, clubbed, lynched, impaled, boiled, and decapitated said columnist. After that, he was taken to be tortured. The boys from Rippertown have hit an all-new low. However despite the set-backs, they are determined to once again reach the peaks of medicority they once floundered at. |
