| <i>The Female Halfling With No Bits</i>, by Germaine Greeaarrrgh, has a lot to answer for. The lot of an Orc-woman has never been a happy one. But only recently have female Greenskins started to question exactly why it's the male Orcs who go hunting, stomp on dwarves, and play Bloodbowl while the women stay at home roasting meat and doing their best to polish the rusty old bits of armour and weaonry their spouses leave lying around everywhere, while making sure the dirt in the home is tastefully arranged. Nowhere has the impact of Greeargh's book, and its sequel <i>Boy-Orcs are from Gorka, Girl-Orcs are from Morka</i>, been so strongly felt as in one small Orc village. Every Orc male in the village went out on a rampage to try to find an elf someone had smelt downwind. After eight nights of violence and drunkeneness, they returned home to find their wives and girlfriends gone, with all their BloodBowl kit! Fed up with trying to get bloodstains out of the carpet and being generally treated like snotlings, all the women Orcs banded together to prove they were as good as the boys on the Bloodbowl pitch. The "Neksnapper Laydeez" Success so far has been mixed and casualties heavy. However, the original Laydeez find willing recruits in the dissatisfieed orc-women-folk of every town they visit... |
