The End of Hell Game:

The team was retired on October 26 2009, after a catastrophic and unlucky game against a not even particularly bashy chaos team. With three mng and one RIP, and yet another FF drop as usual, I judged the team unable to continue playing. There is no chance that they will ever recover. Hell Game might have become an absolutely awesome team, and it certainly looked like they would, in the first couple of weeks. Then the FF started to drop, mainly after extremely unlucky ff-rolls, and the team never really got back on its feet. What also contributed to the team's downfall was my being unaware of exactly how dirty and bashy all teams are at higher TR levels. Had I known, Hell Game might have stood a better chance, having been equipped with more than one dp, and more claws early on. Nevertheless, Hell Game is my highest TR team so far, and the team with the most games so far (53), although twice as many losses as wins.

Oh well, time to create a new team, I wonder which race to go for this time...

Formed in July 2009, the Demon themed Hell Game is arguably my first good team. Thanks to a number of early lucky skill rolls, the team boasts three AG4 CWs and one AG5 beastman. The results are so far not particularly impressive, and since Beelzebub the Troll died, and several skilled beastmen were either killed or injured they have struggled to win games. The team also had a number of unlucky FF rolls early on, and the FF has since then remained around the initial 9, which means the team does not earn enough money, due to its ever increasing TR. After the games heading up to the Fumbbl Cup, the team has decided to discard two rerolls and try to get their TR down again, to more reasonable levels, where their FF of 9 isn't too low. The niggled CW's are being kept for the moment, because they are simply too good to fire, and also because the team hasn't enough players anyway, and can't afford new ones.

October 2009:
Hell game took part in the Fumbbl Cup and were immediately soundly beaten in the first game, by 3-0, by Count von Drakenborg and some humans that he kept with him. The team keeps surprising me with new lows. Before the Fumbbl Cup I had two catastrophic warm up games and lost about 50 TS. The team rating is far too high as always, and I would really like to know how to get it down to proper levels again! The ff went down and I suspect it will be about ten games before I can buy a new CW. By then I will have lost about five more players and the team will be ready for retirement. I feel like retiring them straight away, to be honest, but three ag4 warriors and one ag5 beastman is just too good to throw away! It's a problem, because the team is, apart from those four players, really bad. It seems the unlucky ff rolls I had in the beginning, when the team used to win some games, has ruined this team. Without ff, they can't do anything to get back on track. And it's impossible to elf bowl with a chaos team at 200+ tr. Perhaps it was a bit stupid to play against a team with 7 dp right before the Cup, but I HATE cherry picking and I wish noone ever did it. How come there's no limit to the number of dp's anyway? Whine, whine, whine...

September 2009:
Hell Game took part in the Chaos XFL, and were rather unlucky with the scheduling, being drawn to play against the two strongest teams in the tourney in their first two games. The first match was miraculously won in a game that will go down as the most unexpected win I've ever had! The second game, against an equally strong team, was too much. Although going into over time, Hell Game inevitably lost by 2-1. The team survived without being to badly bashed up, although it's weaker than it has been for a while, and it has had to get rid of a few players due to injuries and the TR being too high as usual.

August 2009:
Entered the Lustrian Challenge Qualifiers. After a good start the team was set to win the first <url=http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&id=2788586>game</>, but miraculously lost by 0-1. They were still quite pleased though, having scored two RIP and three SI. They'll now go back to the Realm of Chaos to train for the next big tourney!
