| After the reconfigurations of the Blood Bowl league recently, the Countess of Eilhart decided that it was time for an official Blood Bowl team to represent her subjects. She contacted El Rey Switchblade, the notorious and highly successful captain of the irregular North Bronx team and he jumped at the idea to organize a more professional team, especially after the long period of inactivity. While many of the old guard had suffered mishaps due to various combinations of cheap hookers and bad drugs, El Rey assembled a remaining few veterans from the old roster, added his own son in a key position and then filled up the rest of the team with eager young candidates, mostly drawn from the unofficial fan clubs of the Heads. While this new team has better funding and PR, it maintains the spirit of the Heads, both in terms of team traditions and general lunacy. The majority of players are still from the North Bronx section of Eilhart and the few that aren't have long been infected with the Blood Bowl mania that so characterizes the old Heads fan base. |
