Upon hearing about the formation of InfBowl the coach Mike Smith decided that this was his big chance to neither underachieve or overachieve and set about pulling together this regularly oiled machine to do battle. Common Assault are a mediocre group of players formed from the rejects of other teams throughout the land. Every player who failed to make an impression on a team and was sacked not in disgrace but with indifference can now hone his skills (those that he might or might not have) here at Common Assault. We expect to consistently finish mid table and to make about as much of an impression as magnolia. So when we win we be humble and when we lose we will be gracious as we fully intend to do a fair amount of both but if we don't then we will probably not be surprised. How will we get on, who can say? What i can say is each week we will turn up and we will definitely try about as much as you'd expect. Season 1 synopsis: With a 7/1/5 record this season we were as expected decidedly average, with losses to Elves and Mens as well as a bunch of Zombies we were in with a shout most games but only really managed to dominate the stunties and the feeble. But with just the 1 death and only a handful of retirements we are confident that next season life will improve and we will fulfil our potential to once again finish mid-table. |
