The Darkside Devastators are owned by the multi-millionaire Trade Baron Thomas Wayne and are from the Grand Duchy of Talabecland. Wayne made his fortune selling arms to the home guard of Talabecland. Unfortunately his firm; Wayne Battle Axe Industries, was more or less taken from him in a hostile internal conflict leaving him an almost broken man. A last ditch night of hired assasins ensured he maintianed a majority conrol of the business but he decided that he would step down from the everyday running of the company and move onto other less stressful oppertunities.
Ever since he had been a young man he had wished to own a Blood Bowl team of his own and now with time on his hands this is exactly what he did. Going out and hiring some of the best coaching staff and manager; the venerated Von Baum Ferguson.
With Von Baums aid the team slowly took form using a top notch scouting network that resulted in several high profile names being attracted to the new team. One of the teams crowning moments was when Von Baum was able to negotiate the exclusive contracts for the massively talented Von Heibert twins bring some heavy hitters to the Devastators starting line. However the biggest sigining (literaly) was of the talented free agent Ogre Juggernaught Zug.
With all the elements assembled the newly formed Darkside Devastators took to the pitch and have never looked back.
