The Kronigsson Co. is a reputable mining company, and holds several contracts for staffing and maintaining prison colonies used for dangerous Warpstone mining operations. These prison colonies are made up of some of the most vile and dangerous individuals in the Old World, be they human, elf, dwarf, or from the barbaric races of the wilds. Kept under close guard, they are sent daily to delve deep into tunnels to dig out deposits of the unpredictable green ore. Maintaining morale in any prison is crucial for preventing riots or breakout attempts, and the Kronigsson Company had even dabbled in Blood Bowl sponsorships in the past, before realizing it could kill two squigs with one stone. Thus, the Kriegsherrs were formed from the ranks of the prisoner mining crew - prisoners which exhibited good behavior could earn spots on the team roster and thus gain some reprieve from the grueling, often fatal digging work, and indulge in their violent tendencies for fame and recognition. Of course, the nature of the prisons is reflected in the team: a rabble of cruel individuals, not terribly well suited to teamwork, and often riddled with horrific mutations caused by overexposure to the Warpstone deposits. |
