Dólmael Dragons

Near the mountains of Maelui is the elven town of Dólmael. The town is moderately sized and peaceful, except for Tuesdays and Saturdays, when the Blood Bowl stadium comes alive.

Blood Bowl is extremely popular and respected in Dólmael. Proving one's skills in the sport is kind of a coming-to-age ritual in the town, and practically everyone plays it. Dólmael has its own, high-class league of ten skillful teams called the Gweth League, but one team is respected the most: Dólmael Dragons. The Dragons do not compete in Gweth League, but rather travel around the world to challenge other teams and tournaments. The Dragons are therefore considered the showcase for the people of Dólmael, and its players are the most respected elves of all Dólmaelians. Especially the positional players of the team are respected above all others, and many believe that they are not ordinary elves at all.

Dólmaelians make no difference between women and men, and all compete in the same teams. The tradition has it, however, that all the Catchers are female, for they are small and swift, while the Throwers and Blitzers are male, for they have strength the women do not.
