Bretonnian Team with...

The story of the famed Beards R Us dwarf team is not a long one, but they were formed during a short period of peace for Clan Dunhammer. The hardiest of the Dunhammer warriors, who had known nothing but battle all their lives, weren't content with mining their mountains, which after a few centuries of war had been cleared of Goblins, Skaven and whatever else lurked down there. Being without a good fight just didn't work for them, and they therefore began campaigning the countryside, seeking out whoever would give them a fight. It was during one of these trips that Jherai, the leader of the warband, came up with the idea of never really going back to the dwarfhold, or at least not unless they were needed for battle. The problem was that the battles they had fought so far were sort of one-off affairs, since they didn't really leave too many survivors. Not wanting to give up carnage and violence totally, he decided that changing the warband into a Blood Bowl team would be suitably violent, would give a suitable income and would be suitably fun. Being a very wise dwarf (apart from an unhealthy addiction to the word "suitable"), Jherai found a sponsor for the team, a rice-producer, called Thai-R-Us. Thus the Band of the Beard became Beards R Us.
