| The Stein of Strength, buoyed by excited fans, emerged victorious from their first (very bloody) match against the Obscure Conjurers. Their second match, a 2-0 loss v. the Orc team Unda Anded, brought them down to earth- quite literally. Though they suffered no casualties, the Stein walked away bearing the sting of defeat. The next match went no better- another 2-0 loss to the Human team, Uberwald Adders. To add injury to insult, Magnus Magnusson, one of the Stein's two Troll Slayers, received a niggling injury from a foul and was forced to retire. Igor Igorsson- a Runner- was injured as well, but less severely. Matches four and five mark a potential turning point- despite being down two players, the Stein managed to secure a 1-1 tie against the Human team Bleedin' Butchers. Immediately after, they completely dominated the Shire Brunches in a gruesomely bloody game. Their sixth match resulted in a tie game with the Quik-Quik Shadowpaws, with the Stein scoring in the last turn of the second half- their most challenging game yet! |
