<P align=left>The Universities of the Olde World have always had sports teams. Rivalry among the colleges is just as fierce in the sporting arena as it is in the realms of magicka and academia. Success in Bloodbowl, particularly in the TRAP or Travesty Plate - the premier inter-varsity competition - brings considerable prestige and is hotly contested. So much so in fact that many Universities have taken to offering scholarships in an effort to attract potential Bloodbowling talent. While technically illegal, colleges often overlooked the academic and intellectual pre-requisites needed to attend the University if the player...errr... student was a promising athlete.

The University of Praag in Kislev followed this practice to excess and blatantly ignored its own entry requirements in order to recruit superior players. Eventually the lure of blood while receiving a paid scholarship even began to attract Ogres from the desolate regions north of Kislev. Ogres were unheard of in the TRAP to that point so unsurprisingly the PraagU team - a small cadre of Ogres supported by Norsemen and Kossars - proceeded to smash all their opponents and win the TRAP six consecutive times between 1221 and 1227.

With the TRAP fast becoming redundant - other Universities being increasingly reluctant to field teams in the face of this Ogre onslaught - the Combined University Athletic Union, over-riding Praag's protests, banned Ogres from the competition.

Under threat of physical harm by the Ogre players, the Praag University Council agreed to honour the scholarships but soon found themselves in an unenviable predicament as Ogres continually rampaged thru the campus looking to sate their blood thirst. In desperation the Council have entered the team into the professional Fumbbl competition to keep them 'occupied'. Unwilling to accept the prospect of relegation to the second tier varsity competition the Council has refused to release the Kossar and Norse players. Needing to make up the numbers the Council eventually agreed to conscript the goblin slaves acting as the teams waterboys and laundrymen.
