Bleakmoor is a fairly barren land nestled at the base of the Bleak Hills. The area is fairly rocky and inhospitable toward growing things. The nearby Bleak Hills are riddled with ancient burial sites, rivaled only by the Isle of Wights. Tribal legends speak of the dead walking these hills, particularly when the evil light of Morrislieb rides high in the skies. The peoples and beings of Bleakmoor are often very vocal in their praise and admiration of their land. This is especially true if they are based outside of Albion or are speaking of it to people of other countries. This has become somewhat of a joke among other Albion people. Bleakmoorites even sometimes refer to their native land as a separate country, the so-called "People's Republic of Bleakmoor" and claim to desire independence from the rest of the country. There is also a joking belief among the population of Bleakmoor that it is the real capital of Albion and they frequently refer to it as such. Did you know.......that in a strange twist of fate and custom the entire Ogham Stone Thunder team is composed of famous celebrities that originate from the land of Albion? From the disciplines of science, music, dance, acting and business, only the truly great get to play Blood Bowl for Bleakmoor. Who can forget the likes of female fiddler, Nóra Níc Ghiolla Iosa, gracing the pitch, until she was torn into a bloody pulp by a chainsaw. Good times! Truly an "All-Star" team. |
