The Ginaz are renowned for their personal combat skills and mastery of the arts of warfare. The Academy produces some of the finest warriors within the Imperium, with only the Imperial Sardaukar and Bene Gesserit Sisters regarded as their probable equals. Swordmaster training is harsh and extensive, and the bulk of candidates wash out of training (and are often killed in the process). Because of the scarcity of candidates and graduates, Ginaz Swordmasters are highly sought retainers, and any who acquires the service of one gains significant prestige.



The Ginaz Swordmaster Academy is separate to House Ginaz, a one-time ally of House Atreides destroyed by House Moritani in a Kanly many years back.
